Antitrust Policy
The project's Antitrust Policy, which you can find linked from the LF and project websites. The policy is important where multiple companies, including potential industry competitors, are participating in meetings. Please review and if you have any questions, please contact your company legal counsel. Members of the LF may contact Andrew Updegrove at the firm Gesmer Updegrove LLP, which provides legal counsel to the LinusFoundation.

New Procedures in API Backlog WG meetings
A number of improvements are under discussion with leadership team of OGW project (Henry), CAMARA Project (Markus), Product Definition WS (Helene) and TSC (Herbert). As of today, the WG adopted agreements are three:
To close the agenda SEVEN DAYS BEFORE the conf. call.
In case a WG participant wants to include a point in the agenda (e.g., present a new API proposal), this participant shall ensure the corresponding issue is opened in Github by then.
Exceptional situations will be treated separately.
New schedule of conf. calls **The meetings are to be held by Linux Foundation (Links available at GitHub and Confluence Backlog front pages)
2nd Thursday of the month (9-10:30 UTC)
4th Thursday of the month (15-16:30 UTC)
Send agenda to TSC mail list, to encourage more TSC member companies to join the call and provide comments when they identify APIs which are of interest for them.
New API proposals are included in backlog table when template PR is created, linking to the pending PR
PR will be merged as soon as ready for TSC, and should be merged before TSC review
API enhancements requires existing group’s validation. TSC is informed accordingly to validate
Link and status in backlog table will be updated accordingly
Issue to track API onboarding will be opened once new API is confirmed in TSC.
New proposal Lifecycle for frozen APIs.
Recent Updates & Recap
Last TSC meeting 2025-10-16: (only updates)
Meta-Release Naming (#200) - The group agreed on the need to replace “Spring” and “Fall” meta-release names to avoid hemispherical confusion. Several proposals are already listed in the issue. Next steps: involve the Marketing and Outreach Committee for feedback, create a shortlist, and hold a ranked vote combining TSC and Outreach members.
Objective: finalize names before the next AHC.
Unified Clean-up Process for Inactive Onboarding Trackers & Repositories (#199) A full proposal and wiki page have been prepared and next actions include:
Creating a draft PR to update
API-Onboarding-and-Lifecycle.mdwith the clean-up process.Launching the first review round of onboarding trackers and repositories without content or releases.
Notifying proposal owners and codeowners for confirmation. HomeDeviceQoD was mentioned as an example for potential archival in Phase 4, as it hasn’t evolved since two meta-releases.
Dual-Phase Meta-Release Cadence (#194) - Work continues on formalizing the dual-phase cadence separating Sandbox (flexible) and Stable (annual Fall) releases. Remaining tasks:
Update
API-Onboarding-and-Lifecycle.mdto reflect the new model.Rework Release Management documentation.
Goal: ensure consistent lifecycle alignment across all CAMARA APIs.
Other topics
Improvement of the Onboarding process to avoid invalid codeowners in new repositories #264 - Several API proposals have been delayed due to the absence of valid codeowners at the time of repository creation. To prevent this, it is proposed to verify the technical readiness of nominated codeowners before onboarding. This includes confirming their participation in CAMARA mailing lists, LF and Confluence access, active GitHub account with EasyCLA validation, and acceptance into the CAMARA GitHub Organization. Only after these checks will repository creation proceed, ensuring every new API starts with an active and compliant codeowner, avoiding orphaned or inactive repositories. Review PR.
Convert API-Scope-Enhancement-Template.md from table format to paragraph format #270 - This PR reformats the file documentation/API-Scope-Enhancement-Template.md from a Markdown table into a paragraph-based structure. Review and approval by the group
