NetworkSliceAssignment API description

NetworkSliceAssignment API description

API description

The "Network Slice Assignment" API provides developers with a programmable interface. Industry customers can allocate and release end users to pre-applied network slice resources, enabling end users to enjoy network quality assurance services. At the same time, it also supports the retrieval of device information allocated to one or more network slices assigned to devices.

What is noteworthy is that, the number of terminals allocated to industry customers shall not exceed the maximum remaining device allocation quantity of the pre-applied network slice resources.

What is noteworthy is that, the NetworkSliceAssignment API and the NetworkSliceBooking API work together to provide network support for 5G slice resources of end users, so they share common user cases and benefits with the NetworkSliceBooking API.

Use Cases

HD live streaming: Provide high-bandwidth, high-capacity and high-speed network slicing for high-definition live streaming scenarios to ensure high-definition and smooth live streaming effects and enhance the audience's experience.

Smart Cities: In the context of smart cities, smart electricity meters require large connections, wide coverage, and low power consumption networks. Operators can ensure the network requirements of smart cities through appointment-based slicing technology.

Industrial IoT: Allocate dedicated network slices for industrial IoT applications, ensuring low-latency and high-reliability communication for critical operations.

Access Control: Provides control over which devices can access the reserved network slice.

Benefits

Enhanced Network Efficiency: Optimize network resource allocation by booking slices only when needed.

Customizable QoS: Tailor network performance to meet specific application requirements, such as low latency or high throughput.

Security Assurance: Can achieve end-to-end slice resource isolation to ensure that different businesses do not interfere with each other.

Elastic scalability: Supports elastic scalability, which not only ensures network security in user scenarios but also avoids the waste of long-term redundant resources.
