• Intent: I’m an existing TSC member, and as an active code contributor across multiple groups, have the experience to review and suggest improvements that can benefit all sub projects.

Name: Jan Friman

• Biography; Been at Ericsson for 30 years, Mainly driving System Architecture but also Product Management and Customer Projects.  25 Years in the area of BSS, OSS and Exposing APIs from the network e,g, IMS, Parlay, ParlayX, 3GPP, TMF, Camara, etc

• Intent: Enabling new application, maximizing the value of the network and at the same time supporting the new value chains is high priority in Ericsson strategy. Camara plays a key role here and I am committed to support and drive this in TSC to make Camara successful.   

Name: Herbert Damnker

• Organization: Deutsche Telekom AG

• Sub-project(s): Current TSC member and chair, Release Management WG, QualityOnDemand Sub Project, and all over the place where support is needed.

• Short biography: Herbert Damker serves as the Chair of the Technical Steering Committee for CAMARA. At Deutsche Telekom (DT), he is integral to the Technical Product Management team of DT’s Magenta API Capabilities Exposure program and holds a position as a Cloud Architect within the Group Technology department. His tenure at DT’s Technology & Innovation area includes a variety of roles in strategy, technical program management and architecture, focusing on Service Delivery Platforms, Content Distribution Networks, Network Function Virtualization, Telco Infrastructure Cloud, Edge Computing, and APIs for 5G Core Networks. Herbert has made significant contributions to ETSI NFV, CNTT (now LFN Anuket), and the GSMA Operator Platform Group (OPG). He currently is a member for DT in the GSMA Open Gateway Technical work stream. Before joining DT, Herbert was a Senior Consultant for IT Management at Detecon, a Program Manager at a software company, and engaged in a research project on Security in Telecommunication. He earned his Computer Science diploma from the University of Karlsruhe.

• Intent: I've had the privilege of being part of the CAMARA community since its early stages, and I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished together, including the milestone of our first meta-release in September. I’m committed to supporting the community within the Technical Steering Committee as we continue to advance its maturity and increase its relevance within the industry.

Name: Eric Murry

• Short Biography: I have over 30 years of experience in all aspects of mobile telecommunication networks, ranging from my roots as a radio access network (RAN) engineer, through mobile core to network services, and from 2G through to 5G. Following periods working for Marconi Research and then Siemens Roke Manor Research, where I represented Siemens within 3GPP RAN1, I joined Vodafone Group Technology in 2003. At Vodafone, I initially worked on various radio technology and spectrum studies, before becoming responsible for defining and undertaking an ongoing series of innovative network technology trials. I have a BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, a PhD in in radio modulation detection theory, and have been granted 15 patents in the field of telecommunications to date.

• Statement of Intent: CAMARA have made significant progress in developing a family of networks APIs that have a consistent “look and feel” (documentation, authentication, usage patterns, error responses, etc.), allowing developers who become familiar with one of the APIs to apply that knowledge to others. However, much remains to be done to apply this philosophy consistently among all CAMARA APIs. Consistent with my role in the TSC, I have worked with many sub-projects to identify aspects of each API design that requires or would benefit from such standardisation. If re-elected to the TSC, I will continue to work to ensure that CAMARA APIs are being developed to the consistent and relevant standards required to promote API adoption, all ultimately being overseen by the TSC.

Name: Ludovic Robert

• Short Biography: I’ve been involved in API activities for the past 10 years at Orange. For the last 2 years, I had served as the Tech Lead for the CAMARA project. In this role, I’m deeply engaged in CAMARA contributions and is one of the top contributors to the Linux Foundation project. I’m code owner of several CAMARA APIs and a member of the CAMARA Technical Steering Committee. Additionally, I’m actively involved in the development of these APIs within the Orange network, working on both live implementations and sandbox environments.

• Short Biography: Working in Telefonica R&D branch for more than 20 years. Involved in several standardization organisms. Actively participating in CAMARA and GSMA OpenGateway initiative for the last 2 years.

Name: Shilpa Padgaonkar

• Intent: I am a maintainer in the Commonalities and ICM working groups, as well as a TSC member. It has been inspiring to witness how Camara has matured and grown as a community, and I am proud to be a part of it. My motivation stems from a deep commitment to our continued success. I am eager to deepen my efforts in understanding the challenges we face and working collaboratively towards solutions that benefit everyone.

• Short Biography: I’ve worked in Telefonica for 17 years. Currently I am leading Telefonica APIs program with regards to API design and specification. This program includes design of Telefonica own APIs and participation in standardization forums like CAMARA for APIs to be used in Open Gateway initiative

Name: Mahesh Chapalamadugu

• Organization: Verizon

• Sub-projects: Connectivity Insights and Edge Cloud(actively). Regularly review multiple other APIs.

• Short biography: Mahesh has over 17 years of experience in software design and development. Since joining Verizon in 2016, he has been instrumental in creating multiple products/platforms in SDN, NFV, and MEC domains, with a focus on automation and creating go-to-market solutions. Mahesh is also a key representative for Verizon in various standards bodies, such as CAMARA, GSMA Opengateway, 5G Future Forum, and 5GAA to name a few, where he takes an active role in defining standard Network APIs.

• Statement of Intent: I have been a member of CAMARA from its very early days and played an active role as a lead and contributor/reviewer for multiple APIs e.g. Connectivity insights, Edge Cloud, Simple Edge Discovery Service, Quality on Demand, Device status, location verification to name a few. I am also responsible for implementation and go to market strategy for a number of these APIs within Verizon. I also take an active part in various initiatives like GSMA Market Champion(North America) , creating demos for showcases at international conferences as well as taking up speaking engagements to create awareness and spread the message on the work we do as part of CAMARA to the wider developer community. By continuing to be part of the CAMARA TSC I wish to work closely with my global peers to shape the network API ecosystem and do the best I can to ensure widespread adoption of the APIs.

• Short biography: Computer Scientist/Software Engineer by education, I have a longstanding background in business & operations environments covering different network technologies and service delivery / application platforms. My scope of work has ranged across research, standardization (including TM Forum), product architecture & engineering, product management, OSS strategy director, and CTO positions in successively Alcatel, Alcatel-Lucent, and Nokia.

• Intent: Some 10+ years back, the Telco API exposure & AppStore initiatives unfortunately failed to deliver on the promises. I am happy to be part of the CAMARA initiative which, thanks to technology improvements with “APIs everywhere”, innovation reaching a wide range of both consumer and industrial sectors, and, in particular, a more eco-system oriented mindset, has this time the opportunity to become a world-wide business success for application providers, CSPs and aggregators alike. In the TSC, my contribution will be to continue to help the CAMARA team progress on its mission, and to help position this unique initiative in the wider industry aspiring to reach an API-and app-focused world easily accessible by application developers.

• Short Biography: China Unicom, R&D engineer, responsible for the development of the China Unicom Open Gateway platform and the compilation of the China Unicom Open API in Camara.

• Statement of Intent: I hope to become a maintainer of TSC, aiming to contribute professional knowledge and promote the high quality and practicality of OpenAPI. I  will spare no effort to promote the process of establishing API standards and work together to drive industry progress and development.

• Short Biography: Michael Kuhlmann is a Vancouver-based serial entrepreneur and technology executive, known for founding and leading Colony Networks, a B2B telecom software company that focuses on wireless and IoT network assurance, automation, and security. His career in tech began with ventures such as FatPort, which became Canada’s largest independent Wi-Fi hotspot operator. After successfully exiting FatPort, Michael founded Colony Networks, bootstrapping the company to profitability by focusing on providing innovative cloud-based solutions that enable new managed connectivity services. Throughout his career, Kuhlmann has been deeply involved in building service and software businesses in the wireless and media spaces, collaborating with major Canadian telecom operators like Rogers and TELUS, as well as global network equipment vendors. He is recognized for his expertise in digital media, wireless communications, blockchain and agentic LLM technologies, and has a passion for product development and go-to-market strategies. In addition to his entrepreneurial ventures, Michael is active in the tech ecosystem, serving on the advisory boards of several software companies and participating as a mentor at the Creative Destruction Lab, where he advises on Web3 technologies.
